Vandiyadeva's heart was filled with the desire to see such a great warrior and possessor of immeasurable strength and power. But at the same time, he remembered the message that Prince Aditha Karikalar had told him in private in the new Golden Palace of Kanchi.
"Come! I know very well that you are a pure hero. Also, believing that you are a good scholar, I entrust you with this great responsibility. Of the two leaves I have given, one should be entrusted to my father Maharaja and the other to my sister Ilayapraty. I even hear something about the great officials of the kingdom at Tanjore. So no one should know the message I am sending. No matter how important you are, don't let it be known that you are taking away from me. Do not fight with anyone on the way. It is not enough if you are not going to fight. Don't get caught even if others pull you into a fight. I will know your valor. You have proven yourself many times, so even if you walk away from a tough fight, you will not lose any honor. Mainly, you have to be very careful with the Puluvettarais and my little father Madhurandhakar. They shouldn't even know who you are! They mustn't know what you're going for!”
Adittha Karikalar, the crown prince of the Chola Empire and Mahadanda hero of the Northern Army, had said this. And Vandiyathevan had also read and told about the ways to behave. Remembering all this, Vallavarayan suppressed his desire to see Paluvetaraiyar. He knocked the horse and tried to go faster. No matter what he knocked, the tired horse went slowly. He decided in his heart that he would stay tonight at the Sambuwariyar mansion of Kadampur and leave tomorrow morning while earning another good horse.
lets finish this chapter-1 and starting chapter-2.
Chapter-2:
Vandiyadeva's heart leapt like a boat dancing on the waves of a lake as he steered his horse down the path towards the south from the lake shore. The excitement that was hidden inside the soul was raging. His instincts told him that the time was near for him to have amazing experiences that no one else would have in life. Is there such an uproar when approaching the Chola country? How will the land and water resources of the Achola country be after crossing the border? How are the people living in that country and the Mangais? How many rivers? How many ponds? How many freshwater streams? What is the view of Ponni Nadi, which has been sung about in poets and epics? What a beautiful sight the punnai trees, konnyi trees and kadamba trees blossoming on its banks? What a pleasant sight it would be to see the water-cress and the water-crested hummingbirds calling and the lotuses welcoming them with their faces blooming. How beautiful are the wonderfully carved temples built by the Chola dynasty who are devotees of Shiva on both banks of the Kaveri?.
