Hello friends 👋
How are you. .I hope you all are be happy today.
Today I wish to share today's special festival ‘karthigai dheepam’ in this blog.🥰
Visiting this magnificent temple is a must-do when visiting Tiruvannamalai. It's among India's biggest and most potent Shiva temples. You should prepare yourself for a lengthy walk through congested passageways brimming with devoted worshippers if you wish to make it all the way to the Sanctum Santorums of Shiva or his wife. Large spaces can also provide a tranquil experience. See the spot where, for months after receiving darshan from Shiva, Ramana Maharishi sat in Samadhi. However, keep in mind that taking pictures inside the Temple is prohibited.
Divine experience:
The holy trail that circles the Arunachamesha mountain is called Girivalam. Devotees start at the Arunachaleshwara temple and walk 14 km to return. You visit the eight directional Ashtalingham temples during this pradakshina. The directions and the gods who watch over them are represented by these temples. The directions are represented by the eye, which are all Shiva temples.
Every full moon day, thousands of people walk barefoot along this path to perform the girivalam, and on festival day, hundreds of thousands come.
I was present for the full moon. The level of devotion is so sublime, and the atmosphere is electrifying.
If you are unable to walk the path, you can still visit all of the directional temples by rickshaw or vehicle. Unless the moon is full, they are not busy. Good darshan is attainable.
I always travel the 14 km to complete the girivalam, primarily by car. I travel the remaining distance by car after walking as far as I can. It remains incredibly unique.
Mind blowing experience:
Any visitor to Tamil Nadu should make time to visit this temple. This ancient temple radiates positive energy the moment one steps foot in the grounds, and it is thought to be one of Lord Shiva's holiest sites. Along the Girivalam path, there are also a number of linga temples with eah devoted to each sign of the zodiac. Therefore, before beginning your girivalam, it would be best if you could find out which lingam corresponds with your zodiac. The temple is a magnificent structure. You have to walk barefoot across a large expanse, but you don't feel it because there are so many smaller temples, like the Kala Bhairavar temple, within the grounds.
Amazing temple:
You absolutely must visit this temple! Get ready to go barefoot. Shoes must be left outside the main entrance. Thus, no designer shoes! They won't even let you keep them in your luggage! I would recommend going very early on a Sunday—like, 8 am. If you visit in the middle of the morning, you may have to push your way through extremely long lines. There is a 20 rupee fee to enter, but there is also no charge. I'm not aware of the distinction. We went through the pay gate. You have to be ready to form a queue among the worshippers once inside. However, it's worthwhile to see and do. The town, where you can stroll around and see how people live, is located outside the temple.
Grivalam Arunachala
A 14-kilometer silent, leisurely, barefoot walk, or girivalam, around Arunachala is beneficial for both spiritual and physical well-being. Shiva devotees from South India have stayed here since ancient times and benefited from communion with the Holy Hill. The most well-known modern guru was Sri Ramana Maharshi, who lived on and around the hill for more than fifty years, encouraged his followers to walk, and took thousands of walks himself.
In addition to making the path a wider road and protecting pedestrians and vehicles, the Tiruvannamalai Municipality of today had also planned to cut down trees along the path, a proposal that was thankfully halted.
Arunachala Shiva
Lord Shiva himself is manifested in the Arunachala hill. The circumbalatory path is lined with eight shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, as well as a beautiful temple dedicated to Sri Sai, Sri Ramana Ashram, and Sri Seshadri Swami Ashram. There are plenty of trees lining the first section, which is still pristine. Sri Ram Surat Kumar Ashram is a short detour from the path. One of the Pancha Boodha Stalams, Sri Arunachaleshwara Temple represents Agni. Maa Unamulai Amma is very compassionate and vara prasaddhi. The temple complex includes Patala Lingam, where Sri Ramana Bhagavan first stayed. Sri Arunagirinathar received his enlightenment at Sri Muruga shrine, which is close to Patala Lingam.
