My blog for today is about shopping at Sowcarpet. It is a shopping zone of products, at an affordable cost. You can buy literally everything toys, bags, all types of clothing, fashion accessories, plants, home decor items and many more. 

As it is one of the most popular shopping places in Chennai, the streets are always crowded, making it hard for people to park their vehicles and shop, unlike in many other places. So please do think twice, if you want to arrive by Car. However, you can park the vehicle, in the parking lots that are available.

The place is filled with shops so the best option to do Shopping, is to take a walk. You can pass by all the streets to find varieties of products and at a different price in every store. Yes, you read that right, you can buy them at a cheaper price, if you know how to Bargain !

Designing one's own dress, has become a trend nowadays and this place is the right option for you to do that and that too at a lowest price. You can choose your own fabric at any of the shops and stitch as per your design/measurements. They sell all types of fabric, lace, and other accessories for you to do so. This is also for Men, you can also stitch as per your wish, as there are many stores which can do it for you.

You can buy the products at a bulk for business or other purposes, because it is a wholesale bazaar. Artificial plants, Jewellery (for sale/rent), Furniture's are also being sold in here.

Apart from shopping, you could find food eateries all over the place. Small Chat shops in every corner of the road is to be seen. Shops like Kakda Ramprasad, Novelty Tea shops, Chai waale and many other are found in Sowcarpet for you to reenergize in-between your shopping spree.

Finally, we cannot miss out in specifying the Holi festival held here. 

Sowcarpet is also referred as “Little North India” due to the North Indian population and the festivals in Mumbai, Rajasthan etc are mostly celebrated in here. Who does not like the festive of colours, to enjoy it, do visit Sowcarpet on Holi, for a fun-filling day.
