Pegasus is the spyware (type of a malware) which gets installed in the target's Mobile Phone without his/her knowledge.

Knowingly, it was developed by the NSO group (of a Israeli firm company). It was first got highlighted in 2016, in arab human rights defender “Ahmed Mansoor” phone.Pegasus is installed in the target's Mobile Phone with the help of whatsapp. When the spyware controller calls the target on his/her  whatsapp this spyware get installed in the target's phone. Even the person do not answers the call then also this spyware does it work .

Once it get installed it transfers the data (calls, messages and all other information) through the communication apps like whatsapp and telegram to the Spyware controller. The Pegasus spyware converts the mobile phone into the spying device.The Spyware controller can see or hear the activities of the target by the camera and microphone of the device. More than 100 famous personalities across the globe were targeted by the spyware.

The targets listed includes many countries president's, Prime minister's, a King, activists, journalist's, and many more. Presidents of countries like France, Iraq, South Africa. The Prime minister's of countries like Pakistan, Egypt, Morocco. And a king of Morocco.

• In India, there are more than 150 personalities are listed on target list. It includes 40 Indian journalist's like MK Venu (founding editor of THE WIRE), Sushant Singh (Former Indian express journalist), Siddharth Varadarajan (also  editor of THE WIRE). Many Politicians  Rahul Gandhi (Congress party chief) and many more politicians. Constitutional authorities Ashok Lavasa ( former election commissioner) and many others. Human right Activists Hany Baber M.T. (Professor Delhi University and accused in Elgar Parishad cases). Scientists Gagandeep Kany, Hari Memon. CBI officers Alok Verma. Businessman Anil Ambani. Figures from northeast Samujjal Bhattacharjee, Anup Chetia. Figures from Kashmir Bilal Lone. Security official K.K. Sharma and many more on the list.

Now, the Google is claiming that it can identify the Pegasus spyware (malware) in the android mobile phones and can disable the malware function stop it's working and informs the target about the malware. Apple's IOS Security update 9.3.5 handles the exposure of the Pegasus spyware. Meanwhile WhatsApp and it's joint company Facebook have filed and sued the NSO group of Israeli firm in a U.S. court.
