KGF: Chapter is the sequel to the 2018 hit KGF: Chapter 1. This story of an orphan Rocky(Yash) who escapes poverty and becomes a gold mining tycoon. Other major roles are played by Sanjay Dutt ,Raveena Tandon, Srinidi Shetty and Prakash raj.

KGF 2 is his 4th Indian film to enter the 10 billion club and of course the 4th highest grossing Indian  film of all time. Only ahead of him are RRR(Rs.1.115m), Baahubali : The Conclusion(Rs.1.810m) and Dangal (Rs.2.024m).Trade analysts estimated that once it completes its run, it could end up in the top three, overtaking RRR. 

KGF 2 has grossing over his Rs.100 crore worldwide and is by far the highest grossing film in the Kannada film industry. To fully understand what it means, it should be noted that it earns more than the following 12 Kannada films combined. No other film has taken a quarter of the box office. It is no exaggeration to say that it is the most important film in the history of Kannada cinema. KGF 2 kicked off its march to the 10 billion rupee club through a solid opening weekend that accomplished what many through impossible. He managed to surpass the mark set in Baahubali : Conclusion. KGF 2 earned Rs.554m worldwide in its opening weekend, beating  Baahubali 2's Rs.526m. 

Hindi dubbed versions of Kannada movies are never good. KGF: The Hindi version of Chapter1 had a total lifespan of Rs.500 crore, which was a decent number at the time. KGF 2 he surpassed it in one day. In fact, in its opening day, the film was the highest-grossing Hindi-language film of all time at Rs.5.2 billion. It broke records, beating out big names like War(Rs.500m).

The opening day of the Hindi version of KGF 2 gave the film momentum to an impressive collection that will last a lifetime. The absence of subsequence Bollywood films such as Jersey and Runway 34 also helped. Two weeks after its release, the Hindi version of this film earned him Rs.353 million making it the highest grossing film of all time. 

Apart from the several global and national records ,KGF 2 has set several box office records in the  various regions across India. The film became the first-ever to gross Rs.10 crore in Odisha and the fastest to reach the Rs.50-crore mark in Kerala. In addition, it has also earned over Rs.100-crore each in the Tamil Nadu and Mumbai circles.
