Today's  topic is regarding to Environmental issue. The top three diamond reserves states of India are Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Among which Madhya Pradesh alone accounts to have 90.18 percentage. Buxwaha forest lies in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, about 260 km northeast of state capital Bhopal. This area is under limelight in recent times because our government has given permission for diamond mining in this Buxwaha Forest. The forest clearance report states that a total of 2,15,875 trees would have to be cut down in this area for proposed mine.

The bid of block, which is estimated to have 34 million carats of rough diamond, was won by Aditya Birla Group's Essel Mining and undustries Limited in December 2019.

Around 7,000 villager's of the 17 tribal villages in the territory depend solely on forest products for their livelihood. The proposed mine would snatch away their income sources. The project would cost over 2,00,000 trees in the forest region and also use a lot of water. Many social media campaign were running for saving Buxwaha like “save Buxwaha forest”, “India stands with Buxwaha forest”.

For this short time profit we should not ignore the long lasting dangerous impact on our environment. Our generation is already lagging in saving natural resources  and this project is directly have impact on health of nature. If this project get successful it's our biggest lost ever. The project should have to stop not for anything else but at least for our own healthy survival. it's not just matter of trees but many humans and animals are surviving because of that forest, government should understand this. Government need to be sensitive for trees, wild life and environment. It takes centuries to grow forest like Buxwaha, we cannot replace this forest in any way.

Nature itself is ultimate diamond of this planet, human being should understand this, somehow we have to protect it, we are destroyer for any reason, we disturb nature but it's not at all right anyways. We are already facing impacts of our doing in terms of floods, raise in temperature etc. There are many methods to manufacture diamonds Eco- friendly. Many Environmentalists are also questioning the move of Government when a pandemic has already hit the country and low oxygen levels are reason of many people's death.                                                                                              Save Buxwaha
