Many of you might have different opinions when it comes to food. From our childhood, all of us would get excited when our parents took us to a restaurant and we would start jumping on the sofa and make sure our parents took us to that one particular restaurant where we could get our favorite food. No matter how many varieties where present on the menu card, we would still never give up on our favorite food.
Later, during our adolescent times, we were always in the lookout to try exotic dishes on the menu card and felt a sense of joy when we could sit in one of those fancy themed restaurants and order those dishes whose names were extremely hard to even pronounce. Lets take a leap and focus on that part of our life where we learnt to manage everything on our own- Yes! The hostel life with our friends. Now, what do you think was your all time fantasy food?
Just take a moment to think about that time in your life when all you had was Rs50 in your pocket. The long cheese pulls in a pizza and the tastiest of the ice creams had a look at your wallet and waved a goodbye to you, but the person who used to sell a relaxing cup of tea in the evening and delicious street food at the night always welcomed you at his shop and became a part of your wonderful memories with your friends.
Your craving for anything in life always changes with the flow of time. It also teaches you an extremely important aspect of life as a graph between what you want and what you can afford. Upon having a look at it when you are all alone managing your own finances, you realize that its not always a straight line but always changes as it moves from the positive side in your young age and seeps down to the negative side in your early adulthood.
This experience also taught us that not all the street foods are unhealthy as warned by our parents and not all star restaurants make your taste buds crave for more of that. At the end of the day, you are going to have what you can afford and what you crave for, but this experience would have surely made a deep impact in your mind and made you wonder if all that looks good, tastes good?
