We all are bored out of our mind because of this pandemic outbreak, being forced to stay at home. This is no exception for celebrities, of course. To satisfy their boredom, many artists are preponing their new albums. Worldwide sensation Korean boy band BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) had just launched their new studio album in February, but because of their utmost love for their fans ( A.R.M.Y), they did not want to disappoint them. So, they put together a unique and free event for their beloved ARMYs.
BTS launched a two-day live stream, a collection of their old concerts, since they could not go on their world tour prior their album launch. The live stream, BangBangCon, was streamed on their YouTube channel, Bangtan TV. It was a 24-hour stream, 12 hours on each day, so that fans from different parts of the world could watch it comfortably. It was conducted on April 18 and 19, from 12pm to 12am KST (8:20 to 8:20pm IST). The concerts themselves brought severe nostalgia to the old fans and a deeper insight of the band to the newer fans. There were 8 concerts streamed in total, 4 on each day.
On the 1st day, the old-school BTS was shown, which were very emotional for the fans and the members themselves. Their first concert (The Red Bullet)'s last day was shown, on which the members were so happy to perform in front of 3,000 people, not knowing how much success the future held for them. You could clearly see the passion in their eyes, as they tired their best to prove themselves worthy of their success. The concerts of 2014, 2015 and 2016 were shown on this day, followed by the 3rd BTS muster of 2016, which consists of fan-mert, a performance of few songs, a fun game played by both BTS & their fans and a pre-recorded skit durning te break for the fan's entertainment. All of these were ended with an emotional speech from each of the members, as they couldn't believe how far they had gotten. It left all of the fans with teary eyes and regret for not joining the fan base earlier.
The 2nd day showed the more recent concerts of their tours, consisting of concerts from 2017 and 2018 and the 4th BTS muster. The improvement in their already polished skills and confidence was visible, but they still remained as humble as they were during their debut. But their genre has undoubtedly widened as they now sung songs of self-love with lessened tempo and calming beats, but the old hip-hop songs were not forgotten because they still have those upbeat songs which made you want to sing and dance along. All those songs which they performed with intense choreography and feelings raw on their faces earlier, were now performed along with the ARMYs. Now that the fans were all accustomed to the songs, they sung along with them and also cheered them with their self created fan-chat which comprised of all the members full names. These concerts also had those emotional speeches in the end, which were even more tear jerking as the members were so awed at the fact that so many people came to watch them. The amount of love exchanged between them and the fans was unfathomable as both parties tired to express it as much as they could with words, actions and melodies.
So all we can do now is wait for their next beat.
