We all sometimes end up in a situation where we have to choose a particular field or path which we have to follow or which we want to follow… In my case, I faced this situation when I found myself halfway through “THE SECRET”… I know it's a very popular book and I liked it too but sometimes not everything is made for everyone, sometimes we have to choose a perfect fit for us, And that is when I finally found the genre that wasn't made for me WHICH IS SELF HELP.
Many people like this genre very much but It never worked for me …. I started getting bored easily … SO after analyzing myself very much I paved my way through fiction, fantasy, mystery, and thriller types of genres🍁…
🔅In my last blog(if u have read😊) I told you about the book that I read online and which laid the foundation for me buying the whole set of the HARRY POTTER series…💖WELL ACTUALLY I GOT IT AS A GIFT FROM MY MOTHER..🎁This is the first time, after my 11th standard book, I owned books of my own🤩 and I was excited that I ended up reading the whole series in 9 days(and in this process gave my mother a panic attack, she forbade from reading or buying any book ever again)…
🔅During the period of my graduation, I shifted to the hostel for some months, where I met my now best friend and a fellow book lover, who showed me the right way of getting to know the books and the author you wanna read…This is the time when I finally understood the concept of book shopping and my first purchase was ANNE FRANK(this book made me emotional) and THE FAULT IN OUR STARS(this book made me cry, I was sobbing at the end of the book😥)... THESE BOOKS PLAYED A VERY IMPORTANT ROLE IN MAKING ME THE AVID READER I AM NOW!! AND I KIND OF LIKE MYSELF IN THIS WAY BECAUSE IT MAKES MY MOTHER HAPPY(she told me once" I like seeing you with the books, keep it up")!!!
BOOKS MAKE YOU SMARTER, IT SHOWS US TO CHANGE OUR PERSPECTIVE TOWARDS LIFE. JUST LIKE THE FAMOUS QUOTE OF MY OTHER FAVOURITE BOOK “ THE ALCHEMIST”... “ And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
“it's a possibility of having dream come true that makes life interesting.” Like this very line, I dreamt of owning many and many books. And to see that dream coming true, and the curiosity in achieving the goal of reading many books as soon as possible, in its way made my life interesting and worth living…
🔅My love for mystery and thriller started when I read THE GIRL IN ROOM 105, which made me realize that I do have the knack of understanding mysteries which led me to the discovery of AGATHA CHRISTIE ( and now I own most of her books).
JUST LIKE I SAID “ I NEVER LOOKED BACK ” AND KEPT READING THE BOOKS WHICH I CAN GET MY HANDS ON... Now I have more than 40 books and more than 20 on my TBR list and many more to come…
I don't wanna make this blog longer than it already is…😐 FORGIVE ME FOR THAT ( sometimes I get excited while writing blogs😋)…
MY SUGGESTION FOR YOU ALL IS THAT, IF YOU DON'T READ ,THEN START TODAY.. BOOKS MAKES US SMARTER, THEY MAKES US A BETTER PERSON , THEY INFLUENCE YOUR PERSONALITY, THEY HELPS YOU ESCAPE THE HARSH REALITY, AND MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT BOOKS TEACHS US IS "TO ACCEPT OUR EMOTIONS AND THAT IT'S OKAY TO FEEL SAD SOMETIMES"!!!
