As we all know Shiva is the creator as well as the destroyer. Shiva is nothing and still he is everything. We sometimes commit mistakes which we feel guilty of later and start repenting but will this help us? The answer is no. All you need to understand is that in sake of moving on you first need to forgive yourself and then ask God for apologies. Shiva is the one who is easily approachable and forgives us most easily if we seek forgiveness with pure heart. When anyone with pure intentions and feelings will open up in front of Shiva he will accept him. Mistakes are done by mistake but if you do wrong after realizing that it's wrong, such mistakes are hard to be forgiven and then you will have to face the Karma. So, just keep your intentions and heart pure, seek Shiva in everything, pray to him whole heartedly and he will be there with you every moment. Don't forget that Shiva sees all his children equally whether rich or poor or anything and all he is going to see is your heart.

Then, the answer is yes because you have opened it and started reading it because you realize your mistake. When you are seeking forgiveness and you have realized your mistake, none of your mistakes are unforgivable except for when you have committed sins like hurting someone intentionally, cursing someone or spoiling someone's relationship or wealth. You must be aware that you have to get the fruit of whatever seed you are sowing. God can forgive you but Karma can't. God forgives all his children. Shiva takes away the pain of everyone completely when someone prays to him and has pure heart. No one with the feeling of hurting someone can win Shiva's trust. You have to remember that Shiva will be with you forever until you have a heart like his' which doesn't hold grudges for anyone and forgives everyone. Shiva is purity and Shiva is love and to seek his blessings and forgiveness, you too have to be pure like him. 

You can not be dear to Shiva if you pray him daily, enlighten diya for him, worship the Shivlinga and have harsh feelings in your heart for someone. Shiva won't see your clothes or the offerings you are offering to him whether it be gold or anything but he will just see your heart. No yagnas or offerings can please him like a pure heart can. Just inhale breath and exhale all your negativity and you will start seeing Shiva in yourself.
