This year, Apple's iPhone 15 Pro may be eclipsed by its larger, more powerful sister, but the more affordable "pro" iPhone still offers a significant advantage: a smaller, more portable form.

With a starting price of £999 (€1,199/$999/A$1,849), the 15 Pro is now £100 cheaper than last year's model, extending the gap between it and the £1,199 Pro Max. Although it is still not inexpensive, in 2023 it will be comparable to other high-end smartphones.
The 15 Pro, like the Pro Max, replaces the stainless steel sides of its predecessor with titanium to save 19g and substantially alter how it feels. If you came from one of Apple's earlier Pro phones, you will instantly note how lightweight, convenient, and pocketable it is.

This camera's 24-megapixel default setting, ability to shoot at three different focal lengths (24, 28 or 35mm), and ability to take full 48-megapixel images in ProRaw or HEIF formats will appeal to serious photographers. The camera still retains the helpful 2x zoom function from the previous year, and all three cameras now take portrait photographs without the need for a special setting, which is a much superior system.
Overall, the 15 Pro's ultrawide, primary, and 3x telephoto cameras are unmatched for a phone this size, delivering excellent results in most lighting situations with minimal effort. Just a bad it doesn't have the Pro Max's 5x optical zoom camera.
