The title might have sounded kinda filmy, but honestly, I used to wonder if we really have our ‘Soulmate’. Everyone can have a different definition of a soulmate. I feel a soulmate is someone who knows how we feel without even telling them, someone who understands us completely and loves us truly. And I believe we all have ours, we just have to look.

He/She fits us just right as the fingers of our hands do. The dictionary defines a soulmate as “a person ideally suited to another as a close friend or a romantic partner”. In my opinion, it's not right to restrict our soulmate limit to only our better halves, a soulmate can even be your best friend and sometimes even a stranger that you meet by chance and connect so well. 

Each of us has a soulmate, we just ought to leave behind the laziness and go in search of his/her. The concept of soulmates is also a controversial one, the concept implies that you are incomplete without someone else and that can sound pretty messed up. 

Soulmates don't have to be saved for romance. Grey's Anatomy's Meredith and Cristina come to mind. Friends' Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe for example. Carrie Bradshaw and her girls from Sex and the City. And the very recent trio from The Bold Types' Sutton, Jane and, Kat. It's fantastic when you have a best friend who understands you like no one else. I am extremely lucky to have mine.  

Nobody knows when you cross paths with your soul partner. The connection between soulmates has a wonderful, mystical quality to it. Destiny brings these people close and provides them a chance to enjoy a wonderful relationship, grow as people and, learn significant lessons.

A soulmate is a reflection of yourself, someone who will grasp your hand and walk alongside you in the dark. Everything he/she does makes you proud and you find it enlightening. But it is not that an individual is incomplete without their soulmates, no, this can never be the case. Finding your soulmate can help to complete certain areas of your life and bring you more and more happiness.
