Chatbots are prominent in current years. It is also known as chatterbots. Bots are simply automated tools(agents), used for making tasks easier.

AI chatbot

• It is type of the form used in messaging apps.
• AI chatbot provides assistance in textual or audio-based interaction like a human and resolves in an automated way to provide support and help assistance services.

One of the common examples for understanding the AI chatbot is: Facebook Messenger and one of the common examples of recent years is the Arogya Setu App (For example, getting details of every person for getting details regarding vaccination and to help the user to  know if they are having symptoms of covid19).

• Types of Chatbot

There are two types of chatbots:  

1. Rule-based bots: Communication is done through a predefined set of rules, the user must obey those rules to get an answer. Unlike AI, mostly button icons are used because of which there is limited open conversation.

2. AI bots:  It is a self-learning bot that is programmed with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning. It is used to receive data and interpret it accordingly.

• Chatbot features interaction but still relies on human programmers. It contains NLU engines(Natural Language Understanding), which help us understand a broader range of languages and allow them to interact to a certain extent.
• These chatbots use algorithms (neural networks) to process in natural language.
• It is the type of conversational AI, where the bot understands language based on information, stores data, and gives reasonable answers.

Applications of AI chatbots

• Chatbots are widely used in e-commerce, mostly they are used assisting users in search of much-needed products.
• It is used in help desk assistance to provide users with the answers to emerging issues.
• In banking for paying bills, checking card balances, etc. in surveys for feedback of customers and services which could be given by their assistance.

1. Niki: It's an AI chatbot app for booking movies.

2. Letz: This app is the productive app in terms of boosting confidence, news, and entertainment.

3. Astro: It is used to manage emails better. Its purpose is to zap, provide subscription to old e -mails via voice.

4. Your MD.Beta: It is used to get medical help, tell symptoms to the patient, provide advice, it provides games/quizzes related to medicines.

5. Andy English bot: It is used for improving english.

6. Erwin: It is used for preparing to be smarter, one plays riddles, etc.

7. Bottr : It is used to develop and share personal bot.
