The electrical line is increased now days in our country and the electrical transmission and distribution must be carried out in the lossless manner .For our current society electricity is important, and in order to properly maintain and develop power distribution system, it is needed to understand and monitor the system behaviour and also in the economical way electricity and security of smart gird, intelligent power line monitoring is important part. For that large number of sensors are required to find out the power system fault in a distributed network. By including the number of sensor nodes, position of accuracy can be easily found. WSN are generally used to detect and locate the fault .The fault in the line is due to the breakage in the line and Snowfall, land slide, human and animal contacts the fault is occurred in the electrical line and distributed line.

Electricity is one of the most fundamental features of all matter. Electricity is used by majority of appliances for various purposes which include industrial, medical or personal use. Electricity is an essential component for overall development of a country. It is a vital source for quality of lifestyle of the public as well as industrial and agricultural development in the present society. A major part of the population depends on a stable and reliable power source on a daily basis. In this situation, it is therefore impossible to imagine a life without electricity. However, a high percentage of electricity income is lost due to unlawful theft and improper management of electricity. In order to avoid such line man electric accidents, the breaker can be so designed such that only authorized person can operate it with a password. This ensures security of the worker because no one can turn on the line without his permission. The system is fully controlled by the 8 bit microcontroller of 8051 family. The password is stored in an EEPROM, interfaced to the microcontroller and the password can be changed any time unlike a fixed one burnt permanently on to the microcontroller. A keypad is used to enter the password and a relay to open or close circuit breaker, which is indicated by a lamp. Any wrong attempt to open the breaker (by entering the wrong password) an alert will be actuated, indicated by another LED.It can work on a single given known password. No other person can reclose the breaker until the stored password is entered. It gives no scope of password stealing. It is effective in providing safety to the working staff. It is economical and it can be easily installed. Sensor provides safety to human/animal by sensing their presence and alerting through a buzzer.

The protection sequence activates in real time to cut off the transmission and the buzzer gets activated when the breakage in power line occurred.

The password to operate can be changed and system can be operated efficiently with the changed password. Finally the aim of the project is to avoid the fatal accidents for line man and people from power line breakage.
