Today we are more fascinated towards the looks of the people. A person with a charming face, fair complexion and a good personality is preferred over a person with good nature and good morals. May be this is in vogue these days. But we never know how much pain a person with a charming face has felt as to fit to the society standards. Girls are taught from the very beginning be pretty, take care of your skin and so on as if apart from perfect looks, nothing matters at all and for becoming that they have to hide their pain, dreams and wishes inside them and smile. .
Since childhood, we have been taught the significance of inner beauty many a time. However, in reality, are we giving importance to the beauty that lurks within us? If inner beauty matters a great deal then why people go for skin treatments, plastic surgeries and many sorts of beauty products? Why do they take this much pain? Everyone is aware of the fact that outer beauty is temporary, it fades away with time. Then why everyone is so concerned about their physical appearances? Maybe the standards set by society, as to how a girl and a boy should be, are reasons behind it. Everyone is just fixated upon these so-called beauty standards but the irony is that this kind of people don't even exist whom we compare ourselves to.
People invest a hefty amount of their salaries in salons, beauty products, surgeries, treatment etc. just to look more beautiful and to fit in the beauty standards. If a person doesn't fit in these beauty standards, we the society start making fun and pass unnecessary judgements on that person. We don't even give this thing a single thought that everyone is unique and precious the way they are. I'm not saying that we shouldn't maintain our hygiene, we should its first obligation and responsibility towards ourselves. But we don't need any beauty filter to make ourselves beautiful. We all have that spark within our souls. But why don't we understand that it doesn't matter whatever complexion, figure, height, and the weight you have. You just need to believe in that inner beauty which is within you and carry that spark of beauty with confidence.
Maybe we have become directionless nowadays. Today's era is more about perfection. We easily get influenced by celebrities who are paid for advertisements in the name of promoting the products and services. And behind this, there are big marketing giants who simply want their survival and growth in the market and to earn more profits. This simply manipulates our mind and they play with it psychologically. At present it has become more simple and handy to advertise and influence people through smartphones. If shown right direction, we can save the amount that we spend on buying beauty products and services. And invest that money in enhancing our inner beauty or developing our skills which can be used wisely for the growth of the economy and people around us.
At last, we are responsible for the actions we take and for the decisions we make. The path you choose for yourself defines you as a person.
Thank you ..!
