Sometimes we find a person's words or actions irritable. If that activity (such as; asking for a favor/help, expectations) don't happen the way we want it, we feel anxious and annoyed which, eventually leads to anger, and the outcomes we get are unexpected (getting into a fight, saying words that may hurt someone, many more).
We feel guilty after we calm down, but that doesn't undo what we have done in anger. So to control anger, I am going to do the activities given below.
What to do?
Think: Think of the results that will be the result of my actions. You don't want to feel guilty about your actions and words.
Write: Writing helps. Put all your thoughts and feelings onto the paper, start journaling. It helps you to calm down and process your thoughts or feelings. Write what you are feeling and how you want to respond.
Do Yoga: Yoga helps relax your muscles, mind. When you meditate, it balances your body, mind, and spirit. With Yoga, you strengthen your body, focus your mind, relax your spirit, and reduce negative thoughts.
Tunes and Songs: In a quiet room, close your eyes and listen to soft tunes or nature's music. Listen to songs that are cheerful and you like them.
Don't talk: Stop talking when you feel anger. While without speaking, give time to collect your thoughts.
Exercise: Doing exercise regularly; improves your mood. Go for a walk or run, do warm-ups at home, cycle.
Draw: It helps focus your mind and calm your thoughts. Drawing/ doodling keeps you occupy, and distracted from negative thoughts.
Distract: Make a list of your likes and dislikes. Why you like it and why you dislike it. Do something that keeps you distract.
Read: Reading a paper, or a book, or a novel, or even one page helps you to focus and distract from negative feelings and thoughts.
