At times I think a person who reads my blog would think how much I have to talk about. I have some or the other thing to talk about the society, my so called friends, a partner whom I loved and the list continues. Today I am writing about the expectations which parents have from a child. In our country job status means everything because it decides the amount of respect you will receive in a society. Here passion is just for a hobby's sake, it takes long to convince oneself first and then the parents that a child to opt it as a career. Though times are changing. Parents are coming forward to support their children in everything they do but this isn't the reality for everyone. There sit a number of students who are being told to do engineering first or at times not even given option to pursue their dreams. As a kid we all have dreams but when the reality hits not everyone of us is strong enough to face it. 

Trust me not every girl wants to get married. Not everyone wants to work for the government. Not everyone's goal is to earn money, some just want to be happy. They are happy with whatever they earn. But the continuous pressure at every stage of life is tiring. Pressure to complete school with good marks. Pressure to excel in graduation. Pressure to land a good job. Pressure to get married. Pressure to have kids. This all is too much. Tell me something if I may ask all this while did someone ever ask if you are happy? If no then it's because happiness doesn't matter here. We constantly live in a world that is fake. Where we doing things just to make the world see. We spend lakhs on marriages because we have to show our relatives our standards, no matter how much debt we are in. If one's child is a banker then the other has to be doctor because there is a war going for respect. 

Parents at times pressurize their kids so much that it becomes suffocating. And for girls story is different, no matter how much they achieve, no matter how well they earn, until and unless she is married off she is thought of as a liability. And because of this some girls really want to run away. Not because of a boy or anything but because they want to feel how freedom feels.
