The Peace In The Crowd

In today's world where everybody is in a race. A race to compete for being better than others. Do we have peace? or do we care about it?

We all know be it office, family, friends or society, we all want to impress others with our achievements or by being better than others. We are ready to sacrifice everything to get ahead of people. Be it family, self time, sleep or vacation. The world is so crowded these days, we have people all around hustling day and night. Someone to survive and someone to be better everyday.

We are not very familiar with the terms Self love or peace of mind. We don't understand that just doing office work 24 * 7 or getting promotion every year is not what we call self love. Do we ever realize that what these promotions or these office work 24* 7 work is costing us?

We all are aware how much health issues everybody is facing these days as compare to the time when people were not much into such competition. I agree those people were living a simple life but we all have to agree that they were living a happy and healthy life. So, what is the use of earning so much money and sacrifice everything but at the end spending the same money on medical bills, medicines and on doctors.

Every other person today is fighting with Anxiety, depression, low self esteem and many more such things. I was also going through the same phase where I used to feel lonely even though being in a crowd and wasn't able to feel the peace of mind even though being in a alone room.

I wasn't able to have that peace of mind. But then one day I was having a long weekend. So, I thought of visiting Haridwar and I decided a time when I knew there would not be many people visiting that place. I went on my first solo trip. I was sure that if the crowd will be less, I might feel the peace. But to my surprise when I reached there, it was crowded. Then I went to Har Ki Pauri and took the bath in holy Ganga and then decided to sit there and wait for the Evening Aarti. As soon as I sat there, I strange peaceful thought started running across my whole body. I just started having the realization what I was missing. Why I wasn't able to have peace of mind and what was the thing I was missing. There were lakhs of people around me but I was feeling an extreme peace of mind. No sound of people or anything was bothering me. Then I realized, what spirituality can do to you. You can feel the peace in a fully crowded place. I felt amazing after returning from there and I was extremely satisfied with my self and I thanked God for everything
