Wishing a good day for the readers !
One of the most important character we need to posses and character which most of us lag is “being patient ”. At times we cross our patience level and later feel for it. There are many psychological reasons for why being patience at hard times is important . Patience is a most important thing which puts us in direct control of ourselves. When we are patient we give ourselves time to choose how to respond to an event or any problem we face . If this small thinking is missing , our anger or other emotions overtakes our patience and makes the situation more pathetic. Patience also helps us to develop a healthy attitude.
Most of don't like to wait ,for example we don't even like to wait for our orders in a restaurant. Imagine, for instance, that you're waiting for someone in your workplace to finish compiling a project report that you need for a meeting. You're already late, now you can feel that you are getting tense, and you're starting to get angry. Suddenly, you lose your temper and yell at the person for putting you behind schedule. You can tell that they're shocked and upset by your outburst, but you can't help it. Even if you apologize them later there is nothing going to change.
Most of us will lose our patience occasionally. But doing so frequently or inappropriately can harm your reputation, damage your relationships, increase stress, or escalate a difficult situation. This also ruins your time to think and respond for an event.
This practice makes us to hate waiting for even small things in our life. But in the period of waiting we can tend to learn a lot of things . We can make thoughtful decisions , we can make long term plans or solutions . Also ,in psychology they say being patient helps to dissipate our stress and gives us time to choose how to respond to any frustration or disappointments. When you can stay calm, centered, and not act rashly out of frustration, all areas of your life will improve.
Also a study made at Paola Giuliano of UCLA and Paola Sapienza of Northwestern University suggests "too much patience or an excessive tendency to delay gratification can hamper psychological well-being, Beyond that, higher levels of patience have a negative impact on well-being. From this we can understand that patience is a balanced practice !
There are many positive reasons for being patient , practice patient and you will find the best of you !
All good things takes time !
