Hie guys, how are you all doing? I'm doing great with all your love and support.
As I already told you a story about insane and genius mind that I got across my medical camp.
There are also some other interesting things that happen in medical camps. Here we go.
In one year of our internship, we are posted in camps for 2 months. Our college covers 24 rural areas for camping. These places are almost 30-50kms distance from the college. So we are divided into 4 teams, where each team visits one place on the same day of the week everytime for complete month. There will be swapping of team for the next month.
Each team consists of one attending doctor, 2 post graduates, 3-4 interns and a ward-boy. There are 3 major works in a camp.
In registration, there is lot of eye-work that takes place. We have to enter the patient's OP. NO, Name, Age, Sex, Mobile number, Diagnosis, Remedy name and GRBS value if done. There are around 20-120 patients based on the population of the village. This is done by interns most often.
Case taking and prescription is done under the supervision of attending physician and post graduates along with interns if cases are more. When physician and PG's are not available, then interns take over the job.
Dispensing is again a studious job, every team will have there medical kit with the most used drugs. The kit consists of dilutions of 30 n 200, mother tinctures and biochemic remedies. There will also be a first aid kit for injury management.
As such there will be challenges on daily basis in medical camps.
Thank you guys for staying till end. Keep smiling and stay strong❤✌
