Hello friends. Welcome back to another blog of mine as we all know we are in the month of Shravan we all know that this month is dedicated to Lord Shiva it is a holy month according to the Hindu culture. It is the month of Shravan that marks the beginning of the holy and festive season. during this month people worship lord shiva and do Monday fast as believe it, please Lord Shiva and dedicate him things like milk. Water, fruits, and basil leaves, and every Monday is celebrated as Shravan Somvar when Shivling is bathing with milk and water throughout the night

The Shravan Nakshatra is celebrated on the day of Purnima (full moon night) and according to belief, this time is considered best for auspicious works as this month marks the beginning of a new beginning as there is a belief taking lord shiva’s blessings or worshipping him fulfill every wish. People wake up early and visit temples to do Rudra Abhishek of Shivlinga and in Kheer Mal Pudhe is distributed as prasad among devotes. People who fast also perform Shavan Vrata Katha it is believed that Goddess Parvati fasted for the whole month of Shravan to please the Lord Shiva

If we are talking about this holy festival of Lord Shiva it will be incomplete without the mention of Kanwar Yatra which is a very popular annual pilgrimage dedicated to Mahadev. Devotees collect water from the holy river Ganga from pligminge places like Haridwar, Gomukh and Gangotri, and Sultanganj and carried it to the major foot of Lord Shiva like Kashi Vishvanath, Baidyannath by walking hundreds of miles by chanting “Jai Bhole”. This yatra has a history of more than 2 decades and almost 13 million people participate in this annual event since this event started devotees come from all over the country come to attend the event. This is going to be the closing part of the blog in which I am going to talk about the Kanwar yatra in which devotees carried Kanwar on their shoulders and carry Ganga Jal which they dedicate to the Lord and pray for their happiness and prosperity while the journey devotee chants the Shiva Mantra Om Namasha Shivaay as devotee belief this chanting this mantra gives them strengths to against all the problems of life so this is a very special blog dedicated to this auspicious month of Lord Shiva
