I have always been thinking how people get to save a lot of money when there is scarcity of work and the expenses are high. But many people have followed before and are still following this technique to save a lot of money monthly and some even save such a lot that they can open a savings account or a fixed deposit just from the little they have saved from their day to day live.

Let me cite an example of my parents maid, Jamuna aunty. She earns about 5000 rupees per month as a maid. She can hardly save any money because she has got a married daughter with a child who lives with her. Jamuna aunty has to supply for her husband also because he occasionally earns some money by pulling the rickshaw or some temporary work. But her husband do not have a fixed job. Her son-in-law do not take responsibility of her daughter and her grand child. So she has to run the stomach of four people with just 5000 rupees per month. And the most surprising fact is that she can save some money in her bank account also. Often when I visit my parents house I meet Jamuna aunty and she is very eager always to share her routine life. I feel very exited to talk to her.  She told me that she bargains with the price of grocery, medicine, travel cost and  wherever she can get a subsidy. That is how she can save a little money. This money she saves in her bank is the little subsidies and bargained amounts that she could save  from all her day to day dealings. So this was the case of Jamuna aunty.

But this could actually earn you a lot of money. I would explain you how. Suppose you go to buy vegetables regularly to the market. You bargain with each vegetable man each day and save about 1 re. from each vegetable seller buying 5 different vegetables only . If you could save this money for a month then its about 150 rs. and if you do this saving for 6 months then you can save 1800 rupees in a year. There are many banks where you can open an account with just 1800 rs.  So trying to do a little bargain with just one or two rupees per day can really make you save a lot of money at the end .
