Hello Readers
I am sure most of you have joined gym to keep your physical health in check but how many of you have ever consulted a physiatrist or ever talked to your person openly about what you feel, what you are going through at work and many other such agendas of yours. The answer will be not many. Why is it so that we don't keep our mental health in check as much as we keep our physical health?
One of the many reasons is that mental health is not visible to others so we don't feel like this is something that should be worked upon but the truth is “ Healthy body and healthy mind go hand in hand”. Not one can be given more preference to the other.
Another reason is people are afraid that if you talk about it to someone they will refer you as crazy or as someone who has lost their mind. The freedom to seek a physiatrist is not something we experience in our so called society because “what will people say”.
No reason is good enough to destroy your calm and quiet self. If you need someone to talk to seek out for help.
Talk to near and dear ones. Maybe they can help you or give you some better suggestions.
Take yourself for a walk and talk about to yourself. Believe me it helps a lot.
It's all about your emotions and your emotional well being. If you can keep yourself updated on that and keep doing that you are on right path.
The road to achieving a stable mental health is not easy and cannot be achieved within a limited time period. It's an ongoing process and you need to keep up with it. It can take a toll on your work , friends, family and basically all social life. But the first step is acceptance. You should accept to yourself that you have some issues relating to it. That something is there that can be worked upon. Once you accept that rest of the path becomes much clear.
Next step is who to talk to? Always prefer someone who is not biased to your emotional self and can help you giving much valid points. Professional help is preferred because that is what they do. They don't know you. They have no agenda of theirs. They cannot talk about you with someone else due to confidentiality agreement. So you feel free and can actually talk.
