The Nicholls family used to reside there during a very cold and gloomy night. They were a cheerful, charitable family.

Although their home was incredibly opulent, it was just one thing that made it unique: it was a HAUNTED HOUSE!

The Nicholls family is all sound asleep at the start of the tale in their warm, comfortable beds. When the clock struck midnight that night, a silvery white ghost emerged. The ghost made an eerie noise after he materialised. When he made that sound, lightning would strike! The family was still asleep in spite of the loud noises. All but two of the nine-year-old twins Molly and Holly are sound sleeping. The twins had a lot of mischief. They made the decision to investigate the eerie noise. They leapt from their beds and began searching. They started by looking under their beds, then behind the clock, and all over the house, but they were unable to locate the source of the yowling. They attempted to peer outside but were unsuccessful.

Holly and Molly awoke to the sound of crying coming from outside. The females gently requested permission to leave the building. Naturally, provided you dress first, their mother retorted. They ran up the stairs, throwing off their pyjamas as they went, saying, "We will, Mum."

The twins promptly rushed outside to the grassy lawn after dressing. When they came face to face with a wailing ghost, they abruptly came to a stop. While shaking, Molly bravely uttered the phrase "wwwwwhats the matter?" Do you feel okay? The ghost lamented, "I keep frightening people, but all I want to do is help. Holly murmured, "Hmmmm." "I have an idea! Our father is a talented inventor.

The girls discovered Dad working diligently in the cellar, creating brand-new incredible inventions as he always did. I'm producing a no-spooky-sound medicine, Dad remarked. What a coincidence, I suppose. When Molly asked Dad if she could borrow it, the girls cautiously walked away while holding the medication in their hands to prevent any spills. The medication was given to the ghost. He drank it all up, believing the gals. The ghost returned to the Nicholls family home that evening and attempted to make a terrifying noise, but nothing came of it. He was aware of the medication's success. The ghost entered the girls' bedroom while floating softly and said, "THANK YOU!" because he was very appreciative of the twins' assistance.
