Niagara Falls - Canada:
Niagara falls is the largest waterfall system in North America and features three different sections, Lower, Middle, and Upper. Each section has its own unique look and feel. The Lower Falls are about 2200 feet wide while the Middle and Upper are both over 2000 ft wide. There are many amazing things about this place.
Victoria Falls - South Africa:
Victoria Falls is the largest single drop waterfall in the world. Water flows at 250 miles per hour along the edge of the Zambezi River and forms a plume of spray that reaches almost half a mile into the air. At the base of these falls are two separate viewing decks, one for each country. You have South Africa to the left and Zimbabwe to the right.
Iguazu Waterfall - Argentina/Brazil:
Iguazu is composed of five individual waterfalls. While some may consider this a small waterfall, it gets it name due to the fact that it actually consists of five separate waterfalls. It spans over several kilometers and covers a massive area.
Kaieteur Falls - Guyana:
Kaieteur Falls is the third highest waterfall in the world. Its height varies depending on the season and flow rate, but is normally between 260-270 meters high. The name means “big fall” in the local Kamayura language.
Angel Falls - Venezuela:
Angel falls gets it name because of the beautiful rainbow that appears around its base. Located on top of the Roraima Massif, the waterfall drops straight down and measures 1429 meters high.
Tambopata National Reserve - Peru:
Tambopata is located near the border of Bolivia and Peru. It is home to various types of flora and fauna, including endangered species. It contains lush rainforests, mountains, and rivers as well as hiking trails. The reserve is named after the Tambopata River, whose waters flow out of the reserve.
Horsetail Fall - USA:
Horsetail Falls is located along the Columbia River Gorge in Washington State. It is one of the most iconic sights in Oregon. Also known as Multnomah Falls, it is the tallest free flowing waterfall in the Pacific Northwest.
Kataeba Waterfall:
Kataeba Waterfall is situated 30 kilometres south-west of the capital city of Nairobi, Kenya. It is a popular tourist attraction and can be visited for free.
Aokigahara Forest:
Aokigahara is known as the Sea of Trees due to its huge number of evergreens. It covers an area of approximately 80 square kilometers and receives over 300 millimeters of rainfall annually.
