 Loneliness is the biggest reason for panic attacks.  Being constantly worried and stressed increases the risk of panic attacks.  Due to not being able to share the fear of the mind or the matter of the heart, it becomes a mental illness in the future.  Its cases have increased rapidly.  

The risk is especially high in children and teenagers.  The risk of panic attacks is highest till the age of 20.  Women are twice as likely to have panic attacks than men.  The symptoms of panic attacks and heart attacks are very similar.  In such a situation, do contact the doctor in case of a panic attack.

1) Talk to yourself: -

 If you have had a panic attack in the past, then when the symptoms appear again, convince yourself that you have recovered from it in the past.  A panic attack is not life-threatening, so why worry about it, monitor the panic attack. 

2) Do deep breathing: - 

While breathing, inflate the stomach instead of the chest. This makes the breath longer and deeper. Due to this, more oxygen reaches the brain.  The parasympathetic nervous system helps to signal that there is no need to fight the condition.
 

3) Share Feeling:- 

Talk to a friend or family member.  Describe how you are currently feeling or what sensations you are experiencing in your body.  Talking to a loved one brings relief rapidly.

  4) Drink a glass of water: - 

In the event of a panic attack, a person gets nervous due to its symptoms.  In such a situation, drinking a glass of cold water helps to bring you to the current state, besides reducing the intense heat or sweating.
 

- What is a panic attack?  

When physical and mental symptoms appear due to some unknown fear, it is called a panic attack.  

What are its symptoms? 

 Sudden rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, numbness or trembling, chest tightness, and feeling of suffocation are the main symptoms.  Some sweat or feel cold. 

What is the method of prevention?

  Track it to prevent panic attacks.  Take the help of yoga.  Psychiatrists or psychologists can help overcome fear through psychoeducation.
