Woman is a beautiful creation of God. When I use the word 'beautiful' here, I am not talking about her beauty, looks or appearance. Rather I am talking about her compassion, dedication and determination which makes her a beautiful creation.
Well the combination of these attributes is hardly found in a man. Yet it is so sad to see that a woman is not appreciated as a man.
Why does a woman have to put extra efforts to prove her worth to the world when the words like feminism and gender equality have become household? Why is it so hard to accept a woman having concrete and solid ideas and plans for her future?
Our society has stereotyped women with desk jobs. Just because she has to marry one day and settle into a new family, she is considered best for desk jobs because it is assumed that it can be easily continued under given circumstances. Well I don't deny that and I hold utmost respect for every profession but stereotyping women here is not justifiable.
Even when a woman is part of corporate world, she has to explicitly tell her aspirations. Why are her aspirations not considered default as that of her male subordinates?
And a whole new level of suspicion rises when she wants to set up things of her own, when she wants to build her own empire. Her potential is questioned when she brings solid and concrete ideas to the table. Her determination and dedication is doubted when she puts forward her approach to execute her plans. She is seen with raised brows when she talks about stats and numbers.
What makes a man more worthy of society's seriousness? Why do people find it easy to accept command from a man than a woman? Is it just because of gender
Well this raises my concern for society for not understanding the exact meaning of feminism.
It simply means giving a woman equal opportunity as that to a man. It's about understanding and accepting that a woman can have same potential as man or may be more, can be as much dedicated and determined as a man or may be more, can have same management and organizational skills or better. It's about stop doubting a woman with vision, ideas, potential,energy and plans. It's about taking her as seriously as a man.
