Hello everyone , Welcome to my 3rd blog.History isn't my forte but I am trying . Do Read the blog and give feedback.

Two big Asian giants, India and China are competitors of each other. They are the most populated and 2nd most most populated country in the world.

The relationship between India and China has not been smooth recently . Although Government of India is trying its best to establish good relation with China. On the other hand China never misses an opportunity to hurt India.

Going down by history, in 1947 as India became indipendent from British Rule then Tibbet was our neighbouring country situated between India and China. Tibbet was a autonomous region back then. In 1950 China militarily captured Tibbet and it's ruler Dalai Lama fled away to refuge in India. India never raised Tibbet's issue internationally. That was the “ Big Chinese blunder ” from Nehru Government then. Besides that New Delhi signed an agreement with Beijing , almost agreeing that Tibbet is a Chinese region. Instead of appreciating this gesture , China attacked India in 1962.  They had been hurting us since independence and unfortunately I can't see any change in their plans.

In recent times also China is always against of India's favour and supports Pakistan over the issue of terrorism. It's a open secret that Pakistan is a safe haven for terrorists and anti india elements but China never misses to protect them in UN . Our present Government (Modi government) after coming into power in 2014 , never been critical of China. Issue of Tibbet , Taiwan and Uighurs were never raised in international forums. New Delhi was appeasing Beijing by not raising those issues.

In 2016 , Dalai Lama , the highest spiritual leader of Tibbet , was going to host a conference on democracy and criticize China . Uighur activists were also going to attend this conference. But New Delhi denied their Visa . India didn't want to anger China and want a good relation. And that was the “Big Chinese blunder” from Modi government. Despite of this gesture from New Delhi , Beijing did Doklam stand-off , vetoed UN action against Masood Azhar of the jaish-e-mohammed (Pakistan based anti-india terrorist organisation) and recently in 2020 Galwan incident happened. Our 20 bravehearts martyred that day , defending motherland . Still now in Laddakh region , standoff between India and China is going on.

Each and every government of India tried its best to establish good relation with China and got backstabbed . It is high time , New Delhi should rethink about it's strategy against China. We will discuss about this in part 2 .

Have a good life. Thanks for reading ♥️.

Bijay Timsina.
