Women in India, specially in the conservative part of the society women do not express their inner  self. There are many reasons why they do so. Some reasons that we can find out are:

The pressure of family-

Sometimes a girl might want to study arts as a subject but according to parents choice she has to study science. Similarly, a girl might love to many things but the parents choice is different. Parents have their own unfulfilled dreams which they want to fulfil through their daughter. So the pressure comes absolutely on the daughter and the daughter cannot express her heart out. So she misses out her dream…!!

The pressure of society

Sometimes a girl might be wanting to play football or get into military force because of her dream. But the society stops her from doing so. In very many conservative societies girls are not allowed to play games like football or join forces.. The thought behind it is that these are not convenient for girls because they are to get married and make family. Their are lots of other grounds when a women is not allowed to express her inner self..

The pressure from spouse

Sometimes for the balance of the family, a wife never expresses her likes and dislikes. This makes her terribly unhappy from inside. So this is something which requires a check. How long can a woman go on thinking about the best of her family. Sometimes, she needs to give a treat to her mind and soul or else the family will never be happy. I have seen in my life. My mother had been stopping herself from whatever she liked for the sake of her family. This made her an unhappy soul at a point of time. So as a result her whole family suffered. Then when she started expressing her heart out to my father, we got a beautiful life…

The pressure of In laws

Though there are many liberal in laws in our Indian society, But Indian In laws are typically the same. They have some rules for their own daughter, some other rules for their daughter-in-law. 

And you have guessed it right these rules are typically opposites in nature. 

So a girl can hardly express her mind after marriage. This is the most common scene in India. A daughter-in-law is never allowed to express her heart out and follow her dreams. They are treated as Aliens…!

So it becomes absolutely difficult for a girl to lead a happy life after marriage. Their are huge number of issues after marriage for which a girl cannot complete her dreams. Yes, its true…

Even in 2021, girls are killed for not giving Dowry. Even now girls are killed in their foetal stage. 

Its high time that the in-laws change their mindset or else nuclear families will keep on growing. Nuclear families do not occur just for nothing, Its due to lack of adjustment and I tell you the younger generation( daughters-in-law) is not to be blamed always. The majority problem is with the parent-in-laws and their mindset.

So the point is girls are restricted to express their mind in front of their in-laws.

What people will think ?? 

The most important point among the rest is that women always think about others thoughts about them. They think about their image and what others will think if they make their choices. Its not always others who are responsible for  this things. The shyness and lack of self confidence tends to make the girl fall in greater trouble. They never think to express their real feeling because that might disturb the balance in their family. 

Sometimes a girl just want the inner peace of her family and  her own peace takes a second lead. Though times are changing and girls are opening up their mind yet more numbers have to be reached.

Their are lots of talents and potential in a girl. If a single girl do not express those potential because of their shyness then the country as a whole, looses greatly..
