It Feels Good To Be Grateful For...

I believe in Gratitude more than ever ever before. When I first got introduced to this word I really didn't understand the concept much or may be I did not take it that seriously then. However as I grew old and became more matured in my thoughts and actions I realized how important it is to inculcate the Gratitude within ourselves.I wanted to practice it and make it a habit but trust me it wasn't that easy.Initially you have to pretend to be grateful at times. But slowly and steadily as you develop this attitude it comes very naturally to you.

So how exactly I started this practice?? Well, I did take some help of online videos in the beginning. They say if you do one thing continuously without any break for consecutive 21 days you develop a habit. So I tried that and failed miserably. Honestly I really couldn't maintain that discipline and regularity in my routine. Must be a case with most of us right?? How much ever we decide and determine to do it sincerely we really cannot follow it thoroughly always. But I did not give up. After practicing it on and off for sometime I kind of got used to it and I started feeling good with this practice. So I continued without caring much about for how much time I do it.

Believe me folks it works wonders on your overall behavior and attitude towards life, people ,things and circumstances. Now I don't remember any day when I miss paying Gratitude for whatever have. It has become and integral part of my being. It has really helped me in many good ways to develop an optimistic approach towards life.

Here I mention a few statements of Gratitude that I practice everyday after waking up:

Thank you for this Beautiful Day!

Thank you for letting me open my eyes today!

Thank you for giving me another chance to live my life!

Thank you for the Air I breath!

Thank you for the gift of Life!

Thank you for the roof over my head and the comfort of my bed!

Thank you for the safety walls of my Beautiful Home!

Thank you for all my loved ones!

Thank you for a healthy body!

Thank you for the basics, Food, Shelter & Clothing!

Thank you for The Sun,The Moon!

Thank you for all the seasons and the beauty of nature!

Thank you for all the experiences and blessings!

Thank you for all the opportunities!

The list can be as long as you want. Its never enough to feel grateful for a lot of things.Every single day is a blessing and we should be grateful for all the offering of Life. And its not necessarily to be practiced at a certain place or at a certain time. If you start observing things you would notice that there are so many things you can be grateful for throughout your day.

So I insist you my friends to start the practice of Gratitude and you would thank me for this advice.

Happy Reading!!!

Apurva

Inorder to build a habit, you've to start from the lowest level. That is, start with 10 minutes daily, then 20, 30..like that..thats the rule Kindly read mine as well
