As the day goes, as the moment slips from our hands, several people around affect us in various ways. Today, I went to a short gathering at a pool place, owned by one of my mother’s colleges, basically, it was there gathering and I and my sister just stick along with her. So, for the very kind information, I have some #scaredtostart sort of issue, when we reached there, my very first thing to go to was running to the dogs, then with all the salutations and greetings, we moved towards the pool.
After few minutes of staring at the pool, it’s been decided, for whatever may happen, they are going to go into the waters. Me and my sister, we were wearing jeans as it's quite normal to wear them if you have no idea what you are going to get. So everyone was in the pool and we were there, standing, smiling awkwardly, trying to figure out what to do, with trying to manage a reply to every eye on us. this was all the things under the bridge, but what’s over plus overwhelming was when we switched to some pairs of swimmers and got into the water.
So, being phobic, I decided to let myself go with the flow slowly and with this I was just observing each woman around me, and what I found was a group of bold and fierce ladies. those ladies were like a real-life example of varieties under the same roof, humorously, into the same waters. there were ladies, two in their twenties, trying to make their way into the water, helping each other, motivating each other, to do something they both are scared of, one in her new adulthood, flawlessly just hanging over the air tube and floating as if she owns the pool. Though later I got to know even she didn’t know how to swim, it was her first time too, and there was my mom too, being totally herself, full of excitement, no fear, just doing whatever she found herself in love to do. These all were just some ordinary women, with ordinary lives, as they see it, but what I saw was these beautiful ferocious women, making their ways all the way into those waters, enthusiastically as well as carefully, but not just giving it up.
Those were ladies who were mothers, big sisters, aunts, who were continuously working for their loved ones, in their ordinary lives, but here, at the pool, they were ladies who made those attempts, those strong moves for no one but themselves, they were the real-life heroes of being bold and strong and most importantly dedicated, they dedicated their whole life to their families, they selflessly worked for them, and after all this, when it was time for them to do something for themselves, they didn’t just back off, instead they did great at it too, and that’s what empowers all human race, that’s what empowered me. So I decided to take a leap, to make a move that would beat my fear, I managed to step into the, though I ended up just floating with the tube! But I felt so strong and blessed to be surrounded by these ladies.
We all read different stories, some motivating, some just giving some life lessons, but honestly babe, just look around, there are lives full of stories, passing by you, walking with you, or maybe you just crossed one, humans are the most unexpected as well as unpredictable experiences, may they be man or woman, may they empower you, motivate you, or give you some bad memory too, but most importantly what matters, is what you want to fit in your lenses.
