HEYYY all! In today's blog, I am going to talk about a couple of things I do, which help me to boost my mood.
All of us go through various phases and everyday is not the same. On some days, we wake up feeling very energized while on some, we do not feel like doing anything. While it is important to embrace each and every emotion we feel, sometimes we need to get instant mood boost in order to fulfill some deadlines.
So in this blog, I will share few things which help me to boost my mood on days when I feel emotionally drained. Just to make it clear, everybody may need different techniques and the few I am sharing are some of the basics.
So let's get started!!!!
1.Writing a journal
This may sound basic, but trust me this is very effective! Writing down your thoughts help your mind to look at each single thought separately and it helps to clear your mind. Journaling is something that I have been practising recently and honestly, it has helped me a lot!
2. Listing the things you are grateful for
Counting your gratitude and listing them down is a quick way to lift your mood. You can literally just start writing basic things like “ I am grateful for my family, friends etc.” Or even small things like “ I am grateful for the roof over my head” "I am grateful to have food in my plate today". Listing or Counting even 5 things can also show significant improvement in your mood.
3. Exercise
I know many people and articles write about this; and this really is promising. Exercising releases endorphins in your body which are basically the happy hormones. So for exercising for even 10 minutes or just dancing your heart out on one song helps on a great extent.
4. Music
This therapy is basically personal. I have tried listening to songs I love and it has improved my mood like instantly! Good music is like meditation. In my phone, I have a playlist of my most favourite songs which are soothing and I listen to them on days when I am emotionally drained and they just help my mood to lift within few minutes.
I hope you all also try these things and they help you overcome days when you are low. Although I feel, sometimes you should let your mind have these days when you do not feel like talking to anyone or doing anything.
Learn to embrace every emotion. They make you special!
