Obesity:- Basically measured in terms of BMI- Body Mass Index.

having 2 categories-Overweight and obese, being grown up in a developing country like India I think people here think that consequences like hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular problems are age-related and its nothing to do with lifestyle.

but if we will look at the bigger picture then we will get to know that it's obesity-related it's lifestyle-related and it never happens all of a sudden. it's a gradual process that happens over a period of time and left us with a lot more than the above-mentioned diseases etc.

if we will look at the respiratory field-obstructive sleep apnea is becoming a strange disease and the numbers are increasing day by day.

Hypertension (increased blood pressure) leads to some other diseases and then cardiovascular diseases like angina pain, fatty liver.

Children in India are suffering from diabetes Mellitus from a very young age.

the national surveys show that obesity is not only a concern of urban areas but also a matter of concern for rural areas. Socio-economic factors affect the determinants in a wide variety though dietary patterns have not been investigated properly it also shows that it plays an important role in overweight and obesity but that does not mean that if a person eats only salad he or she will never be suffering from consequences. Because of the swift rise in the cases of overweight and obesity in the last 2 decades, it became a nationwide concern, and the WHO has announced obesity as the global pandemic.

it has become an epidemic for Indians as well as for foreign countries too.

if we will look at it in the context of India it's because of multiple reasons, easily availability of packed food, globalization, industrialization has to do with it.

Different socio-economic factors, different classes of society all are the nearby reason behind this emerging epidemic in India.

with extra fat in the body, the body becomes more prone to various diseases as mentioned above but not limited to this extent because fatigueness is also remarkable in obese people.

underweight has also something to do with the above-mentioned diseases but it's not been investigated properly and investigation is going on.

so stay tuned for more related to the same topic-obesity, suggested steps to take, data, Results, and conclusions.

stay safe, stay healthy, stay hydrated and stay tuned
