Hey!
If you are looking for some fresh and fulfilling content to watch these days but unable to find some. Don't worry I got you covered!
Here's a new movie suggestion ~
“THE HALF OF IT”
• It is one of the most heart-warming and fulfilling movie I watched recently and I think you should give it a try too! This is a quirky, unconventional backdrop movie which indulges you in a way and allows you to question many of your beliefs.
• Giving out what the story is and explaining to you the background of the whole of protagonist's individuality will be too much of a spoiler, but what we can do is discuss some of my takeaways from the movie which inspired me to write this to you :)
So, grab a snack and go through these and then enjoy the movie ~
LESSONS FROM THE MOVIE
• This movie is just a pack full of emotions and surprise lessons for the viewer towards self-exploration as well as to look at the society in different ways.
• The protagonist Elli Chu just rocks! Throughout the movie she not only moves forward on the journey to explore herself and leading herself to a point where she genuinely have a little clearer vision of who she is and what she wants but also turns the life of people around her as well (in a better way).
• In this movie the main characters (Aster, Paul and Elli) explore love (what it truly mean to them individually), their sexuality (that its okay to be different, to love differently, that all kind of love is valid), challenging the long back laid norms of the society.
• From an unrecognized, shadowed nerd to grabbing attention by showing her true talents, Ellie walked a wholesome path. She accepted her genuine feelings, gained confidence through the process and did not look back.
• The movie portrays what true friendship is. The friendship between Ellie and Paul was genuine. They accepted each other for who they were instead of trying to mould each other in the form they were most comfortable in. Ellie made Paul realize what true love was. She made him question himself weather he truly loves Aster or is it just the norms he want himself to fit in.
• The whole family situation: Ellie's father also plays an important role in the flow of situations throughout the movie. The realization gained by Ellie's father of recognizing her as an individual and her rights to live life on her own terms is fulfilling.
• Love is messy (& horrible and selfish); Love is bold strokes; Love is effort you put into it; Love is everything you ever thought it would never mean to you, tell me about it, if you don't realize all of it after giving this movie a chance ;)
SO WHAT YOU WAITING FOR!
