As rainy season has arrived, everyone knows it makes us feel very happy. Monsoon is the best time to explore our surrounding as this is the time when nature dress with wonderful beauty. This is very good to enjoy weekend and getaways. So, here I am introducing you with two amazing places in Maharashtra, India. Start planning your monsoon season with me.๐ฟ๐
Maharashtra is the heart of Western Ghats. The Kaas Plateau is a plateau situated near Satara city. It is also known as "Valley of Flowers๐ธ๐บ๐ป๐น๐ท๐ผ๐. During the middle of monsoon, this land get covered with beautiful flowers of hundreds of different species and colours which makes this land full of flowers. Due to excess pink coloured flowers this land becomes pink in colour which makes this place attraction of people.
These place is 280 km away from Mumbai and 125 km from Pune. There are some places which are on short distance from these place and are with great scenic views. Bhambavli Flower is largest flower plateau situated there. Also Bhambavli Waterfall is with it's own beauty. Kaas Lake is situated on South Side of this plateau which has very dense forest around. The best time to visit these place is middle of monsoon aur in the month of August.

The second amazing place is Devkund Waterfalls. It is most beautiful destination for a day picnic from Mumbai and Pune.It is located near Bhira in Raigad, Maharashtra.The trek is not very easy as you have to trek for 7-8Km to reach the waterfall. In between this you one has to faced dense forest. Due to presence of dense forest, people get confused to reach waterfall. Therefore, a you should take a guide with you. You should carry mineral water ,some snacks with you because it takes few hours to reach waterfall. One should carry plastic bags to throw litter.During the trek you will enjoy the view of Bhira Dam some mountains and a river which goes through forest.
How to reach?
This waterfall is of plunge type where lots of water pours on the stones underneath. This water falls without touches the cliffs. The colour of water appears bluish-green and crystal clear. It is covered with big rocks which makes us feel like we are in a secret and private waterfall. One can feel amazing sound of water. As this place is away from city and industrial areas , one can feel very silent only we can listen is the sound of water falling from top. This is the place where we can feel the peace of life.
The best time to visit this place is from September to middle of November. Earlier, this waterfall was open in rainy days but due to accidents now it is not allowed to visit in heavy rain.
