Let's start with our 8 unpleasant emotions!!!Hope you like it…

2.Shame 

We feel shame when we violate the social norms in which we and people believes in.At that moment of shame we feel humiliated,exposed,uncomfortable small.We are unable to look into other people's eyes.

Shame mainly experienced when people points out your flaws,judgemental people are also the main reason why there is increase in social anxiety.

Shame is associated with the belief that one is inadequate, defective, flawed,damaged or bad.Which is not the case we feel this emotion as it depends upon our upbringing and our surrounding environment.Our upbringing and surrounding environment plays a major part in feelings this emotions.

It is linked with high level of self criticism which further leads us to feel shame.These two becomes intertwined in a constant cycle where this shame leads us to feel self criticism and self criticism leads to feel shame.This feeling of shame leads to decrease in confidence and optimism.

It is main the reason why people try to avoid this feeling of shame.As with sadness and depression there is a parallel line between general shame like which serves a social function,and core shame like which is tied to the experience of feeling unlovable, not important and distant with people around us.

General shame often results from social rejection or one's self esteem or social status is threatened.This leads to feeling of threatened to self which affects us with fear.Fear response in which cortisol  increases in our body to prepare it to act in order to protect itself.

The most common response to feeling of shame is to feel submissive.This submissiveness tends to make others feel better and can reduce criticism from others.About shame ,when people expressed shame through submissiveness ,it encourages people to treat one another well and encourages close bonds that keep people feel at peace and close.

Core shame is experienced when people feels or experiences significant criticism, physical abuse, verbal abuse can also be sexual assault or abuse as a child or exposure to these encounters without any reconnection with oneself or healing.

This enduring of shame also results in withdrawal, decrease in self-esteem,social anxiety and can also make you depressed and male you feel vulnerable.
