Hello readers

Janamashtami is round the corner and festivals are all about enjoyment, yummy mouthwatering sweets and sharing love so I am sharing a delicious sweet recipe with you all. You can try it on Janamashtami. There are several varieties of sweets available in India. From North to South and East to West, you would find different varieties of sweets. Today's recipe Kesar peda is a North Indain sweet. It does not take much time to get prepared and the taste is just delicious and they just melt in mouth. It is always good and pure to make something at home. Let us start with our today's home made Kesar peda recipe now.

Following are the ingredients that you will need to make these delicious Kesar peda -

Ghee- 2 tablespoon, cream- one fourth cup, milk- half cup, milk powder- 1 cup, chopped pistachios- 1 teaspoon, chopped almond- 1 tablespoon, sugar- 2 tablespoon, green cardamom powder- half teaspoon, warm milk- one tablespoon and a little bit of saffron.

Method to make Kesar peda-

First of all, mix saffron in warm milk and put it aside. Now take a pan and add ghee in it. (I would suggest to use a thick bottomed pan or a non-stick pan as they give better results). When the ghee gets heated, add cream and mix it. Now add milk. When the milk starts to boil, add milk powder in it. At this stage, keep on stirring it continuously on medium flame. After some time, this mixture would attain the consistency like khoya and it will starts to get separate from the pan. Now add saffron milk in this. Mix it well and turn the flame off. After this, add chopped dry fruits. Let the mixture get cool for sometime and then take some mixture in your hands and start making pedas. You can make small or large sized peda according to your wish. To make it look more tempeting, press it a little in the centre and garnish it with pistachio or almond.

For sugar free festival season recipe you should try Nutty balls- a must try festive recipe
