Today I am posting sweet recipe. We all love kheer. Our today's recipe is about Kheer. Generally we make rice kheer in our home. But I am sharing Royal Makhana Kheer recipe with you all. It is delicious and healthy too. You can even eat makhana kheer during fast as well.
This recipe consumes less time as compared to Rice Kheer recipe. Now lets walk through the recipe and have a look about the main ingredients which we all need to make this mouthwatering recipe.
Ingredients for Makhana kheer
Makhana - 2 Cups
Boiled Milk - 2 Cups (500 Ml)
Cashew Nuts 1-2 Table Spoon
Cardamom Seeds of 2 cardamom
A Pinch Of Saffron
Raisins 1-2 Table Spoon
Sugar - 1/4 Cup
Ghee
These are the ingredients for Makhana kheer. I hope all the ingredients are easily available at home. Without further delay lets jump over the steps to make Makhana kheer.
Method or Steps Involved:
1. Firstly Toss the makhana for couple of minutes in ghee on low medium flame and stir them continuously.
2. Now take a mixer jar and in that mixer jar, add quarter cup of toasted makhana, cashew nuts, cardamom seeds, saffron (half a pinch) and blend it well to make a fine powder. As this power will give a nice thick consistency to kheer and also gonna add flavor and aroma in the kheer.
3. Next what you need to do is to take a wide saucepan and pour the milk in it and heat it.
4. Meanwhile the milk is heating, take another pan and start Roasting cashew and raisins in ghee and keep it aside.
5. To our boiled milk add the toasted makhana and boil it for 5 mins.
6. Now add the ground powder in makhana milk and mix it well.
7. Finally add roasted dry fruits and give it a stir now add a pinch of saffron and turn off the stove.
8. Makhana kheer is ready
