Comparing is the worst thing that I have ever discerned in my life.
Hey…
I'm back with a new blog and a known topic.
I believe each of us have suffered this comparison at least once or twice in our life and for some it was a countless experience too.
What you think about this comparison? Would you take it as a positive or negative aspect? Whether comparing is a good habit? Will it boost your energy? There will be thousands of questions scrolling in your mind right!
Like a coin has dual faces comparison too have two sides. Healthy comparison yields growth.. but if we mess it, then it may leads to ego, depression, arrogance, anxiety, etc.
So how to differentiate it!?
Healthy comparison means for example competition in business. We may compare our business with our rival/competitor business with the intention to widen our market.
Unhealthy comparisons like comparing your child's performance with another kid. I think you have experienced it. Here more than comparing you start underestimating your child's ability or skill. In each and every occasion you start bulling your kid. Comparing one person to another is really a worst thing.
How it effects . . .
It will remain in their mind as a life long dark experience. It generates unnecessary rivalry and false thoughts. It breaks healthy friendships/relationships. It impair your inner peace and it reflects with negative attitude.
How to stop . . .
It will be better if you stop comparing. Everyone is blessed with unique talents. So, try to boost it. Appreciate each small achievements. Tell them ‘ We are really proud of you…you are more talented and still more achievements are waiting for you… work bit harder.. we are always with you '
But never tell them “ what's this bushwa… can't you achieve more… just look at him/her… they are the real gem… you're just spoiler of my entire dreams and my name…. that's not good for you …. what I have said is right… you should follow my orders…. you should make others jealous out of your popularity… I'm investing in you just to yield more… keep in mind … you should be the only winner where ever you go”
Let your words shower them with love and not with shame /anger /pain. Use the words carefully because it is the most powerful weapon. It can be used as a poison and at the same time as a healer.
Hope you like it…. Thank you for reading and supporting…. Will be back soon with new lines…
