Hi guys, today I am going to tell you all about some kind knowledge about the seasonal regimens one should includes in his/her life. So basically if I start about it this includes two consecutive periods one was the period of extraction and another one was period of discharge of energy or power gain by the body.
This period includes three ritu in it shishira, vasanta and grisma .
Shishira ritu is including the dryness property so here it is advisable to consumes the sweet, sour , salty flavoured food. One should mainly do the oil embrocation and massage on the body to pacify all the kinds of vata related diseases. In the food you can take meat soup topped with ghee, meat of healthy animals, beverages, molasses , rice flour, pastries, black gram, sugarcane juice, gingelly oil and marrow.
In vasanta ritu the kapha which is accumulated bring back to normal here by the sunrays as also the digestive fire here is weak which can lead to many diseases. Here we can remove the kapha from our body through emesis, errhines, intake of light food, exercise, powdered massage, one should take here the old barley, wheat, honey and meat of animals live in arid locations .
Here in the grisma ritu the sunrays become more powerfull the body feels as if it is squeezed. So it pacifies the kapha. Salty, acrid and sour dietries should not consume here. Exercise can be done. Light food including the sweet flavour can be taken. Mainly the alcohol beverages should not be taken and if you are taking then the ample of water should be there otherwise can lead to oedema , slackness of body, burning sensation, fainting.
Period of discharge is including three ritu they are varsa ritu, Sarat ritu, Hemanta ritu.
In the varsa ritu the diseases mainly provokes so it is advised to adopt the plain food and regimen and those which increases the digestion power. Cleaning can be done by the emesis and purgation. Old cereals, soups of the pulses like green gram , old wine, cellared alcoholic beverages, sochal salt. When their is heavy torrential downpour the food should be salty and sour added with some fat, honey and foods which are dry and light are easy for digestion.
In the Sarat ritu the pitta gets aggravates and the season becomes suddenly hot . To pacify this pitta the use of ghee with the drugs with bitter taste, purgation, blood letting are advocated. The food with the bitter, sweet and astringent flavours can be taken . Light food like rice, green gram, sugar, goose berry, snake gourd, honey are mandatory. Mainly the water intake here is important because the water in this season is very pure and is of divine elixir.
Hemant ritu is the season of extreme winters so here all the dietries and regimen is same as that of the shishira ritu.
