All of us are well aware of the benefits of plants in our life. They provide oxygen, food, medicines, shelter for birds and animals, regulate the rainfall, and so much more.
But these are for big trees and plants which shall be planted and never cut for our use. They must grow in large scale.
Besides these, there are benefits of indoor plants also for us. I shall discuss these advantages and the care needed by them in detail.
Some plants like snake plant, spider plant, chinese money plant, bamboo shoots, peace lily, ferns, palms, can be placed inside our houses. These can be planted in regular pots (of course the ones that match your decor are also available), in bottles, small cups, matching plant sets etc. While they help in beautifying the place, they also have health benefits.
The best places to place these plants are: In the drawing room, the worship room, near your work space or study room, in the corridor. But be careful not to place them in the bedroom. This is so because some plants give out carbon dioxide at night which can be harmful when we sleep with closed doors. Also make sure you place them near the window from where they can absorb the minimum sunlight they need. They need a little amount of water, so don't over water them.
However, one has to careful not to have too many of these indoor plants. It may depend on the space available to you. Another thing to keep in mind is that you must keep them outside in the sunlight in a fortnight or three weeks for a couple of days. Its so that they can get the sunlight if it is lacking in the house, and excess moisture can dry up.
Why to have plants inside the house?
Indoor plants do attract some pests and bugs too, but if care for them regularly, that will not be a problem.
