Samsung's latest flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra seems to be consuming space on the iPhone 13 Pro. If you decide to buy the Galaxy S22 Ultra, that means you've already eliminated most of the options in the currently crowded android market. After all, it's not a phone that anyone can buy (a phone costs £109,999 in India). Unless you're particularly interested in the S22 Ultra, you shouldn't miss a lot, given that samsung enabled some of these flagship features on previous S-series phones. That doesn't mean the S22 Ultra isn't a bad choice, though. It's a good looking phone and it's powerful. If I get a high quality samsung phone today, I'll focus on three areas that the battery. It's these areas that the Galaxy S22 Ultra bends its muscles, making it a balanced phone. After turning the S22 Ultra on and off for two weeks, it looks like this:
Display
Samsung mobile phones have the best display. You can't dispute it the Galaxy S22 Ultra features an 8-inch AMOLED display and features vision Booster technology. This, as the name implies, enhances color and brightness when using the phone in dark places or on very sunny days. At peak brightness, the S22 Ultra can reach up to 1,750 nits, more on paper than the iPhone 13 Pro. Simply put, this phone is the brightest in this segment. If you're looking for a glasses at night, you don't even need a flashlight on your cell phone ... just unlock your device.
Camera
The S22 Ultra features a quad camera setup. A 108-megapixel primary camera with an f / 1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f / 2.2 aperture, and two 10-megapixel telescopes with 3x and 10x optical zoom. .. It seems very difficult to compare the camera performance of the Galaxy S22 Ultra with my Google Pixel 4a5G. It's true that the S22 Ultra produces excellent quality images. As a result, I wondered about Google's post-processing software, which is far more advanced than Samsung and the iPhone. The images on the S22 Ultra were sharper, brighter and cleaner. I was particularly surprised by the rich color reproduction that the Pixel smartphone achieved in the post (note the sky color in the image below).
Even in night mode, the S22 Ultra's photos look sharp overall, but sometimes I couldn't put my finger on the images captured by these two phones. I prefer the S22 Ultra's ultra-wide image and portrait mode to the one I got from the Pixel. The former has a better dynamic range. The S22 Ultra packed more details in portrait mode. Even if there is a lot of noise in the viewfinder before you press the shutter button, the 10x zoom feature is not a gimmick because it actually gives you a clearer processed image. The S22 Ultra gave better results in the dark, but the Pixel wasn't too late.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 40-megapixel front camera with an aperture of f / 2.2. This is where the S22 Ultra is great. SELPHY was sharp in every detail, and the colors looked more natural on the Pixel. You can record up to 8K video on the S22 Ultra. My Pixel can rival the video output of the S22 Ultra in the sun, but the sound quality you get with the Ultra is really amazing. In addition, Samsung has many camera features equivalent to the iPhone 13 Pro and Pixel 6 Pro.
S Pen
As most people have pointed out, Samsung's latest product is a combination of a Note and a Galaxy S phone. Unusual in the Galaxy S series, the S22 Ultra is equipped with an S-pen stylus with an IP68 dustproof and water resistant rating. Some people may ridicule Samsung for the (unnecessary) add-on-S Pen. Still, it turns out to be useful in some situations, and let's admit, it's cool.
Unlike previous Note series, Samsung has reduced the latency of the S Pen from 9ms to 2.8ms, making it feel like you're taking notes on a piece of paper. Yes, the S Pen is very smooth and has almost no hiccups. Air Command supports various operations such as music control and gestures. The S Pen is a very useful addition to the Galaxy S family, especially for cameras, if you use vlog frequently or take selfies.
Battery
The Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with a 5,000mAh high-capacity battery that supports fast charging up to 45W and wireless charging up to 15W. The bigger the phone, the more battery power it does not necessarily have. The battery life of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is pretty good, but be careful. Despite the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor built using Samsung's 4nm process, the phone has heating issues and is getting warmer. I tested the camera app and took some photos and videos within minutes. The phone soon became warm.
