If you are a person like me, who prefers solo or duos over a larger group, here are some k-pop acts you must check out. Not all of them can be categorized as k-pop as some fall in k- hip-hop genre and RnB.
This guy is of referred to as the “RnB prince of Asia” and rightfully so. His voice is absolutely melodious. He started his career as a song-writer and later branched out into singing. I love his song “Instagram” in which he talks about finding a temporary refugee in Instagram and how after those fleeting moment he feels even more hollow from within. his song writing skills are simply impeccable. Do give it a try😉
2. Jessi:
Jessi is the ultimate badass queen. From her no non-sense attitude to her flows to her accepting her body, she is a queen through and through. not only do I enjoy her songs and verses but also her various guest appearances. She has many songs notably Gucci. here’s another one of her good song!!
3. IU:
Lee Ji-eun better known as IU is not only a talented actress but an even better singer. You must listen her song BBI BBI. IU has also acted in many k-dramas and movies.
4. Lee Su-Hyun:
This 22 year old singer is also part of a duo named AKMU which comprises of her and her brother. But she is also pursuing a solo career. She is signed with the YG label and I really am looking forward to more of her music.
5. Sunmi:
Even though Sunmi can easily be called as a veteran idol, she has proved time and again that she's a timeless gem. Her songs, vocals and music videos are always garnering praises from fans of all demographic.
6. Hyolyn :
Hyolyn has the sweetest smile according to me. she can do it all sing, dance and write songs.She also founded her own label after she quit her group. I absolutely love her song "dally".

Now, I know this is a band but still want to mention them because they are highly under-rated globally.
