94% of pet owners say their companion makes them smile more than once a day.  

The American Veterinary Dental Association states that 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of dental disease by age 3.

Dog Facts

Dalmatians are born flawlessly beautiful!  

They are born with a smooth white coat with the first spots appearing after a week of age. Dogs sweat through paw pads to  keep them cool.   

They also  cool down by panting.

  Greyhounds are the  fastest dogs in the world with the ability to reach speeds of up to 45 mph. Each dog has a unique and unique nose print. The Basenji, an African terrier, does not usually bark  but can scream or scream when excited!  

Snoopy, in the comic book "Peanuts" by Charles M. Schultz, is a hunting dog. Dogs' sense of smell is 1000 times better than humans!  

Nine percent of dog owners will throw a birthday party for their pet.  Dogs have 28 baby teeth and 42 permanent teeth.

Cat Facts

Cats have 32 muscles in each ear.  Cats have 4 rows of whiskers.  Cats don't have collarbones, which is one of the reasons they are so versatile. Cats spend about 30% of their waking hours grooming.  

"American Shorthair" is the name reserved for purebred cats, while  cats of similar appearance but mixed or of unknown origin are called "domestic cats".  

The cat's jaws cannot move sideways.  Cats have over a hundred  sounds, while dogs have about ten!  

Cats' whiskers are so sensitive that they can detect the slightest change in airflow. Cats have 26 baby teeth and 30 permanent teeth.

Animal Facts

Fleas can jump up to 350 times their body length.  Hummingbirds are the only birds capable of flying backwards.  Crocodiles cannot stick their tongues out.  Starfish  have no brains. The slug has 4 noses.  Only female mosquitoes bite. The polar bear's skin is black!  

The only mammal capable of flight is the bat.  A newborn kangaroo is about the size of a lima bean.

                     2.Koala fingerprints are indistinguishable from human                                      fingerprints, so they are sometimes confused at crime scenes.  

                     3.You can hypnotize a frog by placing it on its back and gently stroking its belly.

                     4.About 50% of orangutans have broken bones, due to frequent falls from trees.
