The story I am about to tell you revolves around a man named “John Titor” who claims that he is from the year 2036. Sounds strange, doesn't it?
On 2 November 2000, in an internet discussion form, where people exchange information and talk to each other, a new member joined in, and his account goes by the name “John Titor.” A few days later he posted something which basically said:
“Hello friends, I am John Titor, and I am a time traveller from the year 2036. I had travelled back to the year 1975 to fetch an IBM 5100 computer, as me and my team needs it. I stopped in the year 2000 to see the past through my own eyes and I also want see a computer problem named Y2K.”
This message had somewhat troubled people suffering the internet. Most of the people shrugged it off saying its someone with a fake profile to gain publicity. However, someone people replied back to his post and asked him that if he's really a time traveller, he has to prove it. The reply he gave, shocked people all around the world.
He posted the design of his time machine and some actual photos of it on the internet. John Titor had claimed that he was one of the members of the army and his grandfather had a job in the IBM company and hence he had contacts in the company. He added that IBM computer was the only thing which could have solved the future computer problem in 2036, and hence he travelled back in time.
Now many of you may ask, since he was a time traveller he of course knew what's going to happen in a few years. Surprisingly, he did tell us about some events that were going to happen, they were:
Firstly, he said that there is going to be an earthquake in Peru, and guess what, just in a couple of months, on 23 June 2001, Peru experienced the worst earthquake of all times. He also warned us to solve the space shuttle over heating problem, or else there will be a terrific incident in the near future. You won't believe this, but on 21 February 2003, The Columbia Spacecraft was destroyed due to this very same reason.
He also said things like, Olympic 2004, would be the last Olympic and also told us about a lot more events, but as we know, Olympic 2004 wasn't the last Olympic. If you analyse all his sayings, you will notice that 50% of the events he told were true and the rest 50% was of course false. Coming to think about it, it's practically not possible for anyone to even predict 50% of the future, and how could someone know so much abo the future?
On March 24, 2001, John Titor posted his last post, meaning after this particular date, no activity was shown on his account and he disappeared and became a forever mystery.
