Chickpet
Chickpet is one of the most popular shopping markets in Bangalore. One of the city's oldest business districts, it is famous for silk sarees. Chickpet has an impressive 400 year history and Bangalore trust the quality and variety of sarees and clothing at this famous market. It is also known for its gold and silver jewlery, especially in the Rajah Market. Visit nearby Balepet to shop for the finest bangles and see locally made musical instruments in Nagartapet.
Brigade Road
Brigade Road is 3km from city Market between MG Road and Residency Road. Visitors have to walk through aisles to explore branded showrooms selling clothing, electronics, shoes and jewellery. Most of the books are in good condition, and if you're lucky, you might find a rare edition of your favorite novel. It's also great place to buy school and college textbooks at bargain prices. In addition to books, you can also purchase raw materials for decoration and gift wrapping, jewelry, clothing and stationery.
