Everyone started writing at an early stage with essays & letters in schools, then writing projects & research papers in colleges & lastly with professional writing in emails in offices.

Blogging platforms give space to share our thoughts & knowledge with the world. A beautiful blog with a good presentation helps our readers to understand, feel & learn from  its content.

I am not saying I am an expert. But whatever I have learned, I wanted to share with you all.

I. Pay Attention to “Heading” of the Blog

The heading is the main packing material for your blog.

It is an important part (or main door) of your blog. Keep it attractive.

In Candlemonk, you can see three types of heading options

Heading 1- for the main heading

Heading 2- for the sub-heading

Heading 3- for further sub-headings

Paragraph- for a body of the blog

According to your content, you can select the type. 

Make use of these different types of headings to make your content organized.

II. Capitalize the Words in Headings

Capitalize your headings & subheading using the site – https://capitalizemytitle.com/. 

As the heading is the main entrance to your blog, it should be written in a more specific way.

Below example is there for your reference

HOW IT WORKS - Copy & Paste your written blog heading onto the main box of the site, it will automatically capitalize the line.

III. Plan Your Content Systematically

Treat a blog like an essay. Divide your content into main three parts. Then figure out what to fit on under which section

1. Introduction – Keep it short & interesting
2. Body – Add content pointwise or in paragraphs (4-5)
3. Conclusion – Final words to summarize your blog

IV. How to Add Quotations

If you are using the quote of a famous person or lines of a famous book, you can use the “Quote” icon to highlight the content.

HOW IT WORKS - Select the text, then click on the “+” symbol. Select double colon sign ( " ) from the options for the Quotation.

V. How to Add Relevant Images 

Use clear, relevant & good quality pictures. 

You can make use of good pictures from Unsplash & Instagram. You can search various websites too.

HOW IT WORKS - In the writing area, click on the “+” symbol. Select the “Image Icon”- a first sign from the left for uploading the images.

Do mention the image source under the picture. It is a good practice. If the photo is clicked by yourself, you can mention it as “Photo by the author”

PRO-TIP: Use Grammarly for checking errors

Use the Grammarly app for checking grammatical mistakes. It is a very effective tool. Its free version is more than enough for us to use it in our blog post.

HOW IT WORKS - Just simply copy & paste the text which you want to correct. The tool will check all the errors & highlight them. We just need to double-click on the words to correct them.

P.S. Grammarly App is in-built in the writing section of the Candlemonk platform. Whatever you write, it shows the RED LINE for the correction. Make use of it to avoid grammatical errors
