Hi Friends, hope you all are doing good. It has been very long since I posted my last post. Request, you all to support me as you were doing earlier. Here, I am going to establish my views on the floods that occurred in Chennai recently. 

Chennai is one of the most developed cities in the country, yet it face a lot of issue, when the floods occur. We may blame government or the authorities for this mishap. But, the major reason I would think would be the common man. Chennai is one of the highly populated cities in the country. 

So, people are looking for shelter in any place in chennai. They are not even leaving the lakes and constructing building in lake regions and regions which are suited for storing water. So, we should understand the necessity for staying as a joint family and once the people stay as a joint family, the number of houses or places needed for staying will reduce.

There are people who are staying in lot of low lying areas, who undergo a lot of problems. so, we need to ensure that the road levels are made high and there is a proper way to send out drainage. A lot of drainages are blocked due to the unwanted garbages that are blocking the drainages. We might throw some garbage out of our house in negligence. It might get mixed with water and might stop water from draining.

We might have visited some water bodies and had some food, we would have thrown the cover in such places. This might again cause problems to water. We need to take some initiatives in advance before the rainy season begins. This initiatives must ensure that all the lakes and water reservoirs are clean and there is a proper way for the water to move around.

Stop giving permission to construct buildings in the areas that are meant for lake. Avoid throwing unwanted garbages in unwanted place. The educated ones have become a major threat to the society. Even after being educated, they do these kind of activities because of laziness and negligence. I would request them to stop doing these activities. It is not only going to affect others, it will affect us also in one way or the other.

Finally, we are blessed to have such wonderful rains, but we need to ensure that we make use of the fruitful rain in positive way by storing them and saving them, rather than wasting them.
