History Of Daultabad Fort (Devgiri Fort)

                   DAULTABAD FORT
          Friends, today we are talking about Daulatabad city of Aurangabad district of Maharashtra.  Daulatabad is at a distance of 14 kms from Aurangabad.  Daulatabad is famous because of "Daulatabad Fort".  Daulatabad Fort is the most powerful fort of the medieval period.  It was built by King Naresh Bhillam of Yadav dynasty in the 11th century.  This fort has been a place of attraction for all the powerful kings.  Because from here the whole of India could be ruled.

          After winning it from the Yadav king, the Sultan of Delhi, Mohammad bin Tughlaq, renamed it from Devgiri to Daulatabad and brought his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad, but his efforts were unsuccessful, he could not make Daulatabad the capital for a long time, later he returned to his capital Delhi.  Had to take  Daulatabad Fort has been declared as a National Protected Monument by the Government of India on 28 November 1951.  Many tourists from all over the country come here to visit.  Friends, the history of Daulatabad fort is very big, it was won by many kings by winning each other and running their kingdoms from here.

              Friends, there is a tower here which is very high which is known as Chand Minar.  His height is 63 meters.  It was built by Sultan Alauddin Bahmani Shah in 1435 to celebrate the victory of Daulatabad Fort.  This minaret is one of the most beautiful masterpieces of Muslim architecture of South India.  Jama Masjid is just behind the minaret and is adjacent to the Pillar Temple of Jama Masjid.

          And friends, there is a tof here which is known as Mendha Tof. Which is prepared from Panchadhatu.  This cannon has the ability to blow up an entire fort.  And this gift is kept at a height.  And this gift is also very beautiful to look at.  The face of the ram is made on the top of the ram toff.  And it is written in Persian script on it.

            And friends, there are many things to see in this fort.  There is a big temple, there is a mosque, and there is also a labyrinth path, and there are innumerable gifts and there are many historical things.  And many things worth watching guys.  You must visit Daulatabad Fort once.

            Friends, you can use private vehicle or government bus to go here.  Friends, this fort is at a distance of 14 kilometers from the city of Aurangabad. And friends, if you want to explore more things along with this fort, then you can also see the Ellora caves.  The Ellora caves are just 10 kilometers away from here.  And friends, there is also a water park on the way, you can go to that too.
