Synopsis of the film Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2: There is a plan in motion to assassinate the Chola dynasty's ruler and its two princes on the same day. The rebel Pandiyas are being headed by the furious Nandhini; will the Cholas be able to withstand their wrath?

                                                  Ponniyin Selvan is one of the greatest successes in Tamil film because it aims to be realistic in an era of green screens and visual effects. Aditha Karikalan (Vikram) and Nandini (Aishwarya Rai) are introduced in the film's captivating prologue, which is a flashback to their teenage years. Mani Ratnam has plenty of imagination, which is just what this setting needs. The director leads you to feel that Nandini and Karikalan must have met in a similar manner. Of course, she would have walked by him on the riverbank, grinning sardonically as he was mounted. Everything took place. You may believe it because of good filmmaking. Mani Ratnam is aware that you cannot get there alone through elaborate sets and CGI. By using such exotic settings and convincing you that Chola Desam exists, he captures your attention. Truth may not be the main objective of art, though. 

                                                     but we understand why. Most of the confusion in the still-tumultuous Chola kingdom stems from the Karikalan-Nandini angle. Although he has a disease, Arunmozhi Varman, also known as Ponniyin Selvan, is healthy and alive. Is it possible for him to return and retake his title as heir apparent? What will happen if Aditha Karikalan encounters Nandini? What about the key characters' introduction via Vandhiyathevan (Karthi)?

                                                     There are numerous characters in the film. However, Mani Ratnam dealt with the stress in the film. That task is very challenging because it is difficult to space all characters equally.

                                                     The film has been handled and directed well. More feelings are expressed in the film. One of the highlights of the film was the Vandhiyadevan and Kundavai storyline. The outstanding work of art in the film was the director's imagination. Mani Ratnam's imagination was the driving force behind the entire film. His original idea plays a big part in the film.
                                                        

                                                         The film was one of Mani Ratnam's greatest successes and was completely uplifting. Because it was shot in a real frame rather than a CGI frame, this movie was very good in my opinion.

                                                       In my view, the narrative of "Ponniyin Selvan" is not as it is presented here. My best opinion is that only those who existed in that time frame were aware of the original tale.
